Guides
Step by step through the things people most often want to do on ATLAS. Each takes a minute or two.
Find the result where you live
- 1
Open your country's Elections page
From Countries, pick the country, then the Elections tab. - 2
Pick the election
Use the year picker at the top right. The newest election opens first. - 3
Click your district on the map
The panel on the right shows its result, and the strip under the map its seats. - 4
Click again to go further down
Each click goes one level deeper (municipalities, then the smallest areas) until you find yours.
Read a projection
- 1
Open the Projection tab
For example Germany's projection. - 2
Read the cards
Each party's share in our polling average, the change since the last election, and the seats it would win today. The bar on each card's edge shows its share at a glance. - 3
Check how fresh it is
The line under the title says when the projection was updated (every Saturday) and how many polls it's based on. - 4
Look at the trend
The chart below shows how the average moved. Point at a line to see one party, or switch the time range. - 5
See the polls behind it
The table lists every poll, newest first, with its pollster, dates and sample size.
Build your own scenario
- 1
Open the Simulator tab
For example Spain's simulator. - 2
Choose a starting point
At the bottom of the panel: the last election, or our projection. - 3
Change the shares
Type a new share for any party, or use the arrow keys (hold Shift for whole points). Whatever isn't given to a party goes to Others. - 4
Watch the parliament change
Seats are worked out district by district with the country's real rules; the map and the diagram follow. - 5
Try a coalition
In the coalition calculator, pick parties to see whether they add up to a majority.
